Translating a print template with text boxes

Table of Contents

You can place a text box on your print template in which, for example, a history of a specific location or general information is provided. These types of texts are slightly more complicated to translate than text boxes with words like 'Price' or 'Validity'.

For these types of text boxes, a 'Rich' text box is used. To place this on your template, click on (5). Place the text box on the template. Place the text in the 'Default' language, for example, Dutch, in the text box. Then place a second Rich text box, and enter the text in the language you want to translate the ticket into. Then click on 'Properties' (8), and . Uncheck 'Visible'. This means that this text box is not visible on the final print template for this language. Repeat these steps in case of more than one translation.

Change the language to the desired translation language via View → Language (4). Now make the other languages invisible and the desired language visible via 'Properties' and . You can check if making it visible and invisible is working correctly via the 'Preview' screen.

A print template can only be translated into languages that also are set as available languages in the Admin.

When you have selected a translation, you cannot add text boxes, objects, etc. This is only possible in the 'Default' translation.
